When your passions merge, how can you possibly go wrong? As a professional court reporter, I have had the opportunity to report and edit in many locations and to attend conferences with my colleagues all over the country and the world.
My love of travel began at an early age, when my parents took me to London. I saw amazing buildings and gardens and learned a little bit about history. As I grew up, we continued to travel - both locally, nationally, and internationally.
My goal for this page is to share with you all my adventures both associated with work and those purely personal.
I’ll be taking photos and videos and sharing some of our adventures - whether hikes, paddles, or museum finds.

Why the Shark?
It started out as a posting that I saw on Instagram about folks complaining about Mondays and how sharks DON’T. They just go out and do their “sharky” things - bite things and remind everyone that they are a SHARK!
That felt kind of like me. I don’t care if it’s Monday or Wednesday or Saturday - I’m always up for a good trip, a glass of wine, a great cheese plate, or even some down time with a massage or a book. Every day is a GREAT day in my world.
But then I did a little more research and found out that sharks are constantly moving (like me) and never really sleep (like most court reporters I know!) and instead have “resting” periods. From there, it was pretty much a no-brainer that I would embrace my inner shark.
Next it was a matter of finding the right shark. I found Blue (and his siblings Grey and Rose… and Minnie) and now people send me sharks in all shapes and sizes - koozies and stickers and even links to undergarments. Sometimes something takes on a life of its own because it’s just so RIGHT.
So Blue is part of the Stenotraveler brand and I hope you enjoy his photos. You may on occasion see Minnie, Rose, and Grey as well. For now, though, we’re all going to attack our lives and our travels with sharklike gusto.
